Payments & secure checkout

The cards, EFT and instant-pay methods our secure checkout supports on SA Fashion Mall — plus what happens if a payment fails halfway.

SA Fashion Mall uses a licensed South African payment services provider for every checkout. The processor handles the actual card / bank interaction; SA Fashion Mall never sees your card number, CVV or online-banking credentials.

Payment methods supported

Visa, Mastercard, Amex — credit and debit cards (3D-Secure protected).
Instant EFT — Nedbank, Standard Bank, FNB, Absa, Capitec, Investec, TymeBank.
Standard EFT (manual bank transfer) — takes 1–2 business days to reflect.
Capitec Pay — one-tap approval in the Capitec app.
Apple Pay — on iPhone / iPad / Mac.
Zapper & SnapScan — QR-scan mobile payments.
Mobicred — installment payments (subject to Mobicred approval).

Minimum order value

Every SA Fashion Mall checkout has a R150 minimum on the discounted product subtotal (excluding shipping). Baskets below this show an error at the payment step so you're not surprised at the last click.

If a payment fails

Insufficient funds — try again with another method; nothing is charged for a failed attempt.
Card declined by bank — check your bank app, or use Instant EFT / Capitec Pay as an alternative.
Payment stuck 'processing' after success — refresh /my-orders once. The processor fires a webhook that finalises the order server-side; occasionally it arrives a minute or two after the browser redirect.
Duplicate charge — extremely rare; the processor is idempotent. If you see a duplicate on your statement, contact support with both payment reference IDs.

SA Fashion Mall does not run its own tokenised card vault. Card numbers are held only within our processor's PCI-DSS certified environment. If you ever see a page asking for a raw card number outside our processor's checkout, close it — that's not us.
