Selling fabric & wholesale

SA Fashion Mall Textile Mills is our B2B and small-run fabric marketplace. Mills approved for the Factory-Cut department fall into two storefront types: Wholesale (per-listing MOQ, cut and dispatched in bulk) or Retail Fabric Store (single-metre orders welcome).

Choosing your storefront type

• Wholesale Factory — you cut 5m/10m/50m rolls. Set MOQ (min order quantity) per listing, hard cap 100. Buyers order metres or rolls.
• Retail Fabric Store — 1m minimum, sold per metre. Perfect for boutique mills serving home sewists and small designers.
• You can flip between types in Factory Studio → Settings → Storefront Type. Flipping to Retail auto-normalises every fabric MOQ down to 1.

Listing a fabric roll

• Fabric name (e.g., '12oz Rigid Indigo Denim' or 'Ankara Wax Print · Marigold Diamond').
• Pattern (Plain/Solid, Denim, Shweshwe, Ankara/Wax Print, Chitenge, Kente, Stripes, Checks, Floral, Geometric, Other).
• Composition — 100% cotton / 65% cotton + 35% polyester / etc.
• Width in cm.
• Pricing unit — per_metre or per_roll (per_roll REQUIRES roll_length_m).
• Stock (in metres or rolls, depending on pricing unit).
• Care instructions, wash guide, shrinkage percentage.
• 3–8 images. Fabric-QC AI checks for on-topic fabric shots (rejects garments-on-model).

Fabric commission

Fabric orders attract the same flat 15% platform commission as every other sale on SA Fashion Mall. Vendor coupons and sales do NOT apply to fabric — pricing stays clean and factory-set.

Order fulfilment

• MOQ + stock enforced at checkout server-side — you never receive an order you can't fulfil.
• Buyer confirms receipt to release escrow (or SA Fashion Mall releases manually after review — same flow as garments).
• You can escalate a slow-confirmation order after 3 days of delivered-but-not-confirmed — admin releases funds.
