Banking & payout setup

Adding your business bank account, verification checks, and payout timing.

SA Fashion Mall payouts hit your business bank account by EFT every Friday, 5 business days after each escrow release. Setting up banking correctly is critical — a wrong branch code or bank name delays the payout.

What we need

  • Bank name (Standard Bank, ABSA, FNB, Nedbank, Capitec, Investec, TymeBank).
  • Account number.
  • Universal branch code (6 digits — same across all branches of a bank in SA).
  • Account holder name — must match the CIPC-registered business name (or your ID if you're a sole prop).

Verification

The first payout triggers a bank-account verification via our banking partner. If the account holder name doesn't match your CIPC record, the transfer is rejected and returned — we'll email you to fix the details.

Payout timing

  • T + 0 — Customer confirms delivery. Escrow flips Released; your unpaid_balance_zar increases.
  • T + 5 business days — Payout batched.
  • Friday — EFT transfer submitted to your bank.
  • Following Monday–Tuesday — Funds land in your account.

Payout reports

Every payout email includes a CSV attachment listing the orders included, the gross, the platform commission, the shipping component and the net paid. These are your primary bookkeeping records — save them for your accountant.

Banking details are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Only you and SA Fashion Mall admins (audit-logged) can see the full account number; support agents see the last 4 digits only.
