Selling on SA Fashion Mall
Listing products — pricing, specs, stock, shipping
Writing listings that convert: photography, description length, tailor-spec measurements, stock counts, and setting realistic shipping fees.
A great SA Fashion Mall listing tells a story fast: what the piece is, what it feels like to wear, and why the buyer should trust you to send it exactly as pictured. Every field on the product form has a purpose — here's how to use it.
Photography
- 5–8 images per listing. First image is the hero — clean background, garment on a model or clean hanger.
- Include: front + back + detail shot of fabric texture + close-up of a construction detail (seam, embroidery, buttons).
- Natural light beats flash. Shoot near a window between 9am and 3pm for even colour rendering.
- Max 5MB per image; JPG or WEBP. Client-side compression is automatic in the ImageDropzone.
- Every image runs through GPT-4o Vision QC — off-topic, blurry or cluttered images are rejected with a specific reason.
Description
- Aim for 120–250 words. Longer converts better than shorter.
- Lead with the vibe ("tailored for wedding season", "streetwear that survives Joburg summer").
- Cover: fabric composition, care instructions, fit (relaxed / structured / tailored), model dimensions.
- Avoid comparisons to major brands ("like Gucci but cheaper") — content-scanner flags these as counterfeit-risk.
Tailor-spec measurements
If a piece is available in a made-to-measure variant, list the measurements you need from the buyer (Chest, Waist, Inseam, etc.) as tailor-spec fields. These render as inputs on the buyer's product page.
Stock, size variants and shipping
- Top-level stock count OR per-size variant counts (choose one). Variant counts propagate to the buyer's size picker.
- Two shipping fees: LOCAL (within your province) and NATIONAL (elsewhere in SA). Use realistic courier rates — you keep 100%.
- You can bulk-upload up to 200 listings at a time via CSV in Vendor Studio → Products → Bulk upload.
The offline queue lets you edit stock counts without a signal — changes sync automatically when you're back online. See the OfflineQueueBanner in Vendor Studio → Products.
